A leading name in contemporary lighting designs, Foscarini Lighting strives to be “free, passionate, unconventional and right at the heart of the industry in which it thrives.” A technological and creative workshop that conceives, develops, and produces “not just lamps but pure emotions,” this brand stands out from the crowd with unmistakable character. Exploring an entire world of materials and solutions, Foscarini Lighting is a designing and technological tour de force.
This is a brand who like to celebrate their achievements as they pave their way towards the future, and they invite everyone else to do the same. One of the more recent celebrations of their legacy arrived in the form of Ritratti.
Named ‘portraits’ in Italian, Ritratti is a brand new book created in collaboration with some of Europe’s most revered creative forces. Revealed at Salone Del Mobile, this volume was commissioned as a collection of independent expressions on living.
Taking an intimate tour of five homes across Italy, as well as an outdoor setting, Ritratti highlights a diverse selection of lamps from Foscarini Lighting. Styled by Elisa Ossino and photographed by Kasia Gatkowska, Andrea Ferrari, and Tommaso Sartori, this is a representation of style at its most effortless and its most classy.
At its heart, Ritratti is a photgraphic project that interprets the many souls of Foscarini lamps. Capturing these creations lit in different environments, the forms and light spectrums of these designs are beautifully exposed for all to see.
In a text contained within the book, contributor Attilio Stocchi states that “carrying your shadow with you is the most beautiful voyage.” For Foscarini Lighting, that shadow is of course none other than their venerable history of experience, expertise, innovation, and great design, laid out across these pages for all to see.
