The Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition opened this weekend. To coincide, Flos Lighting have announced that they will be contributing to the event. They will be involved with the national pavilions of Belgium and also New Zealand throughout the duration of the program.
Flos are a cultural partner of the Flanders Architecture Institute (organizer of this year’s exhibition in the Belgian national pavilion). The brand is the official sponsor of all Belgian cultural activities during the Biennale. The exhibition in question is designed in tribute to craftsmanship. It will be exhibiting fragments of projects by thirteen different architects from Flanders and Brussels.
Furthermore, in collaboration with Flos’ exclusive distributor in New Zealand, the brand are illuminating Future Island. This is New Zealand’s national exhibition at the Biennale. The exhibition makes use of The Tracking Magnet. The design is one of the most technological and revolutionary lighting systems of its kind.
Entitled Reporting From The Front the exhibition is curated by Pritzker Prize winning Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena. This is the 15th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition. It runs from 28th May until 27th November 2016.
