One such event is the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, taking place this year from the 7 - 11 February 2017.
First organised in 1951, the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair has grown into what is generally considered to be one of the most esteemed luxury furniture fairs in Europe. With around 700 companies exhibiting their furniture, lighting, and textile products, the annual five-day event attracts around 40000 visitors (as well as drawing in over 1100 media representatives) from 60 countries each year.
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair boasts a number of unique events. Every year they invite international and inspiring designers to create concept exhibitions, all unique to this event.
A highly acclaimed international designer acts as guest of honour, creating a lounge in the entrance hall. There's also a Trend Exhibition, where the most recent style traits are showcased, with a focus on materials, colours and shapes. There's even a Design Bar, where food and design meet in a tasteful collision.
Small scale productions and one off products are exhibited around the fair, while design talks take place through the duration, offering a free seminar program with high profile guests from around the world.
