Spanish art porcelain brand Lladro Lighting has launched of one of its new home fragrances on board Singapore airlines. The volutes scented candle was launched through in-flight concessionaire Duty Free Air and Ship Supply. The product was introduced as an exclusive from July.
The Volutes scented candle is made in matte white porcelain. The Lladró logo and smooth patterns are etched on the surface. The candle lasts for 35 hours. The chosen scent, Gardens of Valencia, is a fruity aroma with fresh notes of bergamot, tuberose and vanilla.
This original creation is part of Lladró’s Home Fragrances collection. The range includes scented candles and diffusers. These products are available in five different aromas. They are created using the exclusive touch of Lladró’s handcrafted porcelain. The refinement and romanticism of the brand is given a format that stimulates senses of smell, sight and touch.
Lladró’s wider catalogue includes a series of other decorative and functional creations such as the Magic Lights collection. This is a series of lithophanes, some inspired by cities such as Amsterdam, London, Madrid or Barcelona. Thanks to the translucent quality of porcelain, when lit, the patterns etched on the surface of these pieces stand out. These products are created to produce a warm and inviting light.
According to the company, this is a further step in its travel-retail distribution. It follows the recent addition of on-board sales, with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Asiana and Korean Air. These brands collaborate through McG Consultants, an exclusive agent for in-flight retail.
McG principal Richard McGratty is “delighted with this listing on Singapore Airlines". "The New Lladró Candle is not only a perfect gift, but falls into the rising well-being category," he adds. "We hope to grow more in in-flight.”
A Lladró statement said: “Lladró brings an emotional object to the public at flights, airports, and other duty free spaces. It is still a factory of dreams and now, this dream in porcelain can travel with us.”
