Fortuny Silk Samarkanda With Disc Suspension.
Samarkand is a city in present day Uzbekistan, and lies on the famous Silk Road trade route linking Venice and China. This lamp’s unique shape and quintessential Fortuny pattern evoke the mystique of those ancient trade journeys, and the cultural fusion they sparked.
It has a helmet-like structure, with spirals topped by an ornamental disc. The disc is decorated with patterns suggesting a rose window in a Gothic cathedral.
Our lights are always delivered without bulbs, because bulbs are as personal, as the lights themselves. The choice of standard or LED bulbs is a very personal issue. We will be happy to assist you in finding the perfect solution – we are just one phone call away.
